I really enjoyed the time I spent at the Spires this term. The location is great, about 5 minutes from campus and about 15 to the city centre. Everything is very clean and security is extremely good. I would highly recommend the Spires for anyone studying at UCC.

The Spires is by far the best choice for college accommodation for students in Cork. The location can not be beat. You are not only extremely close to University College Cork but also close to the City Center. There are many great businesses (pubs, restaurants, and stores)within a block of The Spires as well.

Having your own room and bathroom is the best feature of the living arrangements. The rooms are extremely well kept and any problems that arise are solved as quick as possible.

The staff is extremely friendly and took care of all my concerns and needs. They understand that this is college housing and thus cater to college students needs.

I would highly suggest The Spires as the first choice for any student studying in Cork and I am extremely thankful for living here.

The Spires was a fantastic place to stay. The security was good, the staff was friendly, and it was very clean. Having my own bathroom was a really nice bonus to discover.

The location was ideal for a UCC student with 5-10 minutes from campus and about 15-20 minutes from City Centre. Another nice feature was the amount of stores just a few minutes away.

I would recommend the Spires as a student’s first choice of living. I am glad I went with the Spires for my semester abroad.

I really enjoyed my semester at The Spires. It is an excellent accommodation in which everything is available.

The security as well as the staff were very good and friendly. The reception is always helpful.

Besides, the Spires is only at 5 minutes from the University and 15 minutes from the city center.
I was also glad to have my own bathroom.

I have recommended The Spires to a friend of mine and I would recommend it again if I know someone who is looking for an accommodation.

The entire year has been a dream come true thanks to the spires. Location, perfect. Staff, understanding and cooperative. Facilities, best apartment I’ve lived in during my college time thus far. In all, the Spires attracts both the privacy of a gated community, yet the party atmosphere of a close nit dorm. Combined with the available food, bars and campus near the facility, The Spires is the place to be. The only gripe I had was the 5euro fee to do a load of laundry. Though I may have been spoiled in my previous 2 apartments with an in house washer/dryer, the steep cost to do laundry leads to a falling out of proper personal hygiene. I found myself putting off laundry until I had no clothes left, just to save money, leaving some clothes to be in a laundry hamper for up to a week or two weeks. That aside, The Spires is awesome. Get in on this while you can, its prime. Kind regards, Murphy Hitchcock

Thanks for your positive comments Murphy. We are delighted you enjoyed your time at The Spires.

In relation to the laundry costs, we have charged €2.50 for a wash and €2.50 to dry since we opened our doors in 2003. Our machines are large industrial types that are costly to run but can handle a large load of clothes. Also having a laundry room that requires pay for use has the added benefit that our students do not incur the expense of running a washing machine and dryer from their utility advance. Therefore you only pay for your own washing and drying and not for somebody else who washes and dries their clothes frequently.

College Accommodation Cork is committed to providing the best value accommodation. Due to the economic climate we have reduced our rates across our complexes while at the same time upgrading our broadband speeds, installing wireless modems and upgrading our TV systems.

I just want to thank very much The Spires accommodation for the warmth with which I’ve been welcomed here. I have been sustained 100% with help and advices long time before my arrival. The staff is very professional and reliable. The rooms have everything you need and are cosy.
What I like most about The Spires is the fact that is very close to UCC’s campus, 5-8 minutes walk (you can move freely and you can eat at home every day) and the multicultural atmosphere (you can meet people from all over the world). I live in the same apartment with 4 amazing guys who are now my friends: Germany, France and Italy, and we enjoy our breakfasts or dinners together. It’s like a temporary family. (sometimes you have an even more international mix of cultures). I JUST LOVED IT.
What I didn’t quite like: every early Saturday morning (8am) when you have your well deserved best sleep for one full-of-work week, the garbage car comes in and makes a lot of noise. Maybe “it was my luck to be that close to the main gates”.

    THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!

I have very much enjoyed my time living at the Spires. I’m so glad I picked it to be my home while I was in Cork. The location is great. Very close to campus and only a short walk to the city center. Everything was very clean and new. Excellent kitchen / living room area. The staff was always very friendly and willing to help with anything we needed. Since there were a lot of other international students staying at the Spires it was really easy to make friends. And of course, you can’t beat Jackie Lennox right across the street. ;) All in all this was a great place to live and I would highly recommend it to anyone studying at UCC.

The Spires Accomodation is a very good place to live in. I had my own room/bathroom which was perfect. I am French and I was living with 2 lovely Irish girls, and also 2 American girls so I really improved my English. I think it is a good way to make new friends and meet new people! Plus, UCC Campus is only at 5 minutes walk from The Spires, 20 minutes walk from the Mardyke Arena, and 15 minutes to go to the city!
Concerning the people who work at The Spires, they are really nice and very efficient! If you have issues, they’ll find a solution quickly! Come to The Spires!
