Terms and Conditions
- You will receive an automatic reply on completion of the online booking form.
- You will then receive a separate email with our payment details. You will have 10 days from the date this email is sent to pay the €250.00 Booking/Security Deposit and post/drop in 2 signed passport size photographs. If the deposit and photographs have not been received within 10 days your room will automatically be released.
- Please note that this Booking Form is not a lease agreement. College Accommodation Cork, acting through its management, reserves the right to decline a booking.
- Only mature / postgraduate student applications will be considered for a room at Sheares Gate.
- Bookings are only accepted for the entire occupancy period, however we do accept early arrivals. Please specify check-in date required on this booking form:-
Occupancy Period Option A: Monday 3rd September 2012 to Sunday 18th August 2013
Occupancy Period Option B: Monday 3rd September 2012 to Friday 31st May 2013
NB: The booking/security deposit will not be refunded if a student decides to leave before the period of residence is complete. Rent and Utility payments can only be refunded if the room is re-let. - Cancellation Policy: A cancellation charge of €50.00 applies up to 13th August 2012 for Current and New Residents, after this date the full deposit is non-refundable; all cancellations must be made in writing or by email.
- A lease agreement and invoice will be issued in early August 2012. The agreement must be signed and returned with the outstanding rental charge and utility advance by 13th August 2012 for New and Existing Residents. If monies have not been received by this date, management reserves the right to invalidate the application immediately and without prior notice. Please note that the accommodation payment must be received prior to check-in.
- There is no extra charge if you wish to pay by instalments. The payment dates and amounts are:–
Option A – 3 Instalments
1st Instalment: 13th August 2012 – €2,134.00
2nd Instalment: 10th December 2012 – €2,133.00
3rd Instalment: 8th April 2013 – €2,133.00Option B – 2 Instalments
1st Instalment: 13th August 2012 – €2,857.50
2nd Instalment: 10th December 2012 – €2,857.50Payments can be made by Cheque, Bank Draft or Wire Transfer in Euro made payable to S + C Ryan. Cash is only accepted in our head office at College Accommodation Cork, Farranlea Hall, Victoria Cross, Cork City, Ireland.
- The Electricity & Gas Deposit Payment of €300.00 is an estimate of how much electricity and gas may cost during your stay at current utility company rates. However, management will refund any unused deposit amount after you check-out. Consequently, if a Student uses more than the deposit payment worth of electricity and gas during his/her stay, management reserves the right to make up the shortfall from the Student’s security deposit. The utilities payment of €150.00 for Refuse Collection and TV Licence is a fixed charge.
- Completion of this Booking Form does not guarantee you a room at Sheares Gate. Whilst every effort will be made to provide you with your accommodation preference, this is not always possible. No guarantee can be given on room type, location, house or fellow residents. If Sheares Gate is fully booked we will endeavour to place you in one of our other complexes.
- Sheares Gate is a secure gated complex, however parking is at the owner’s risk. Car parking is included in the accommodation price but spaces are limited and are offered on a first come first served basis. If you require a car space, please add this request in the box provided on the Booking Form
- You agree that all information given on the online booking form is correct and valid.
