Is there a Reception?

We do not have a Reception on site, however our head office is only a 10 minute walk away at Farranlea Hall, Victoria Cross and we can be contacted on +353 21 4345497 or at sheares@collegeaccommodationcork.ie.

Is there security on site?

We do not have any nightly/weekend warden on site however there is CCTV throughout the complex and each house has an alarm.

Is there parking?

Yes, we have parking at no extra cost. Please contact sheares@collegeaccommodationcork.ie for details.

How far is UCC?

Sheares Gate is within a 10 minute walk of UCC main campus, Cork University Hospital and the Dental Hospital.

Is there a shop nearby?

Yes, Wilton Shopping Centre is less than a 10 minute walk away. There is also a Maxol Fuel Station even closer which has an excellent delicatessen.

Is there a bus stop nearby?

Yes, the No. 216 bus goes to and from the city every 30 minutes. The inbound bus stop for the city centre is located just outside our main gate.

Are credit card accepted?

No. The methods of payment that we accept are cheque, bank transfer or cash paid at our office only.

How do we get to Sheares Gate from Cork Airport?

You have two options
a) You can get a Taxi direct costing approximately €20.00.
b) You can get a bus into the city centre for approximately €6.00 to €9.00 and then the No. 216 bus to Sheares Gate on Glasheen Road (Flannerys Pub Stop) for approximately €3.00.

Can I deduct booking deposit from rent payment?

No, the deposit and rent are two separate payments.

What is the size of a double bed?

W: 140cm, L: 190cm.

Is there a TV in the house?

There is one smart TV in the living room. There are TV sockets in all bedrooms, so you can have your own TV.
